The U18 'C' Recreational teams will play in an all-FYHA in-city league this season. I am expecting there to be enough players for eight (8) teams and the season will be 3-rounds of 7-games for a total of 21 games (four teams will be 10:11 for Home Away while the other half will be 11:10).
The season will begin on Nov. 6th and run to Feb. 24th.
FYHA Playoffs, District Playoffs & Zone events to occur from Mar. 6th to 20th.
NOTE: No evaluations or events over Thanksgiving (Oct. 9-10-11-12).
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We are looking for 8 pairs (16 volunteers) to coach at the U18 level. Currently we have 3 confirmed Head Coaches and one (1) assistant - we will need at least 5 more Head Coaching candidates. The FYHA Coaching application is here.
I have no child in Minor Hockey and I have volunteered over the past three seasons to assist the Executive Director (John O'Toole) in managing U18. In addition to being the U18 Coordinator, I am also a local on-ice official, Officials' Certification Instructor and Officials' Supervisor & Mentor. I do not work games at the U18 Rec level in Fredericton or the surrounding communities unless it's an emergency. I do work the occasional York North U18 'A' game, but that is only when that team is not in the same division as an FYHA Team.
