Hockey Canada manages player tracking through the Spordle Website which hosts the Hockey Canada Registry (referred to by its initials - HCR). This registry is where parents can create a management account and then add their children to their profile and use that number/profile to register their child on teams managed by approved associations.
For most families - their interaction with HCR is once a year when registration occurs. This is to verify that each child, across the country, is registered to one team and only one team and at the correct level for their age. When children play for different teams from year-to-year, it can result in their HCR record needing to be updated (moving from FYHA to AAA and then returning to FYHA later on) .
For new-to-hockey children, it may require a parent to create an HCR management account then add a 'new' participant to that profile which is the U7 or U9 child in their care. Here are the steps you need to follow to have add a new-to-hockey FYHA child to your HCR profile.
Step 1: Visit FYHA's Spordle Profile - https://page.spordle.com/fredericton
Step 2: Hit the Registration Now button or Register option in the menu

Step 3: Select the registration category that is the correct age-group for your child. There is no fee for this step - this is just to get an HCR number for your new-to-hockey child.
This will result in a pop-up window to confirm your selection. Once you select "Register" you will be prompted to log into your HCR account followed by selecting the participant you want use.
Step 4: At the Participant Selection screen, select "Add a participant"
Note: If your child is listed here, then they have an HCR Number and you should review your members list on your HCR profile.
Step 5: Complete the form that is presented and select "Search". Hockey Canada wants to confirm that this child has not been created/numbered already.
Step 6: After the check, which is expected to fail, you can now choose "Create a new participant"
Step 7: Complete the "New Participant" form and submit it to HCR for approval and creation. Once completed - you will have a new child participant added to your HCR Profile and their number will be listed on their profile page.
Step 8: Now that your child has an HCR #, you can revisit www.fyha.ca to registger and pay their playing-fees for their level.
Good Luck - reach-out to the Executive Director if you should encounter any issues.
